I went up to one of my leases today and took a few pictures played around some.
The veiw of the bluffs and below to the valley.

They would talk about the ancients who once lived there those crazy hang gliders, moonshiners and hopefully remember me. I watch storms march across that valley and slam into that mountain and those rocks never ever flinch

That's pretty country. My Great Grandmother was named Melinda Tennessee Posey, but she wasn't from there. I been to Memphis twice, and once we camped up north of there, but never farther on. Here's a tip for tourists, like me. Never, ever, walk through the gate at Graceland and tell security, 'My second cousin was married to Charlie Feathers, call up to the house and tell E I'm here.' It don't go over. Looks like I need to get out there and go farther into the state.

I thought some of it looked familiar ! My folks used to live out in Dunlap. Course, I've been all around that area ! I just love all of the places up around Fall Creek Falls !

Across that valley and straight up the next mtn is Fall Creek Falls. You are looking at your old home place

I have always felt Chattanooga was some kinda tourist trap to be honest with Rock City and Ruby Falls.It has changed a lot and the downtown area has a lot to offer with all the river walks and scenery.

I remember Chatanooga as a kind of dreary, dirty city, but I was in college, visiting a boyfriend, so really didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the city. But I do remember the countryside, and have always wanted to see it again. My name is on a plaque down on the riverwalk somewhere. A group of Oklahoma artists headed up by Bill Glass won a commission for some of the art work installed at Ross's Point? I believe. It came down to crunch time and they realized they hadn't planned on covering the bolts securing the art work. They were gonna be stuck with ugly bolt heads showing. They came up with a cover, and I volunteered my time to expedite the process, as did forum member buckshot. The artists were so grateful, they said they would include our names on the dedication plaque as "studio artists". So, hopefully someday I'll get to see my name, and the installed artwork. But I always have wanted to see that country again. Thanks for the pics.

You are right they are. We look up and see them flying all the time. The jump off is not far from there. I bet you have a kite>
