My friend Kelly and I headed south and hooked up with fellow Tnetter Wallhangers for some serious field hunting. We hit several sites and did all right. Wallhangers showed us how by coming up with a flat button, partial crotal pieces, 2 IH's, 3 wheats, and two 1863 tokens: George Washington "Union Forever" and an "EH Sheldon Hardware, Constantine, MI" token. At the best site we found several coins lying on the surface.
I ended up with a geode, a compact lid, 2 green wheats: 1919 and 191(?) and an 1892 IH. Kelly found a 1911 wheat and a nice banded agate. The wind sure was unrelenting that afternoon
and it is good to see more moderate temps are due this week. We all cleared a lot of metal from the fields. It was a fun day.
