So i did bank running today - 5 banks all refused to sell me more dimes today without being an account holder. so i opened up a new account with a bank i actually like, and make friendly with a branch manager there and let her know straight up that im a collector and am interested in moving boxes of dimes/quarters on a weekly basis. Theyre very accommodating and friendly at that bank for sure! so im allowed to walk away with 2 boxes of dimes after being snubbed there last week for not being an account holder.
My kunoichi partner in crime and i split the spoils, she gets box 1, i get box 2.
i walk away with 2 nice looking 1964's, but amazingly pull a personal record of 9 canadian dimes from the whole box. One roll had two chromes in it, i was furiously angry! another roll had a canadian ender! I took pics of this one roll i opened. it had a shiny silver only a few coins away from a shiny chrome (one was silver, one was canadian junk).
So Mrs Ninja opens hers and her first 'shiny' was also a chrome, which makes 10 total canadians between the two of us. Unphased, she continues with perseverance to pull THIS beauty - 1995-s silver proof!
took this from a camera phone so theres a bit of a blur to it. (makes it look like a 1993-d with the blur) but under magnification its definitely 1995-s. she grabs another roosevelt out of a seperate roll to give us a total of
3 - '64 rosies and
1 - '95 silver proof dime...
and 10 canadian dimes, earliest date was 1968.
Im going back to the bank tomorrow, and im going to ask what the policy is on returning that canadian junk lol!
2 more boxes of halves come in tomorrow, hoping to have some luck, hell ANY luck with those. if not, then ill probably need a bit more dime therapy afterwards to revitalize the silver spirit.
