A Dog Pooped Right On Top Of One Of My Mercury Dimes

I went back to the site that I've hit several times before to see what I could unearth with my Nox 600. I was amazed that I found 2 Mercury dimes, 6 wheat pennies, several copper pennies, 2 clad dimes and 3 clad quarters. How I missed those on previous hunts, I don't know. It is a super high EMI area and detecting is a little tough going and you have to pay attention or you'll miss stuff.

My first Mercury dime was right under a great big pile of dog poop. I was getting the perfect silver dime reading so I decided to go for it. I flipped the poop away with my digger and unearthed a '42 Mercury dime.

No picture it didn't happen.:laughing7:

In the first picture, the poop is located between the pin-pointer and the search coil. That's where it landed and that's where I left it. lol

I Can't believe someone wanted to see a poop picture!

No poop pics for me please.

Well now ain't that the sh.....s! :laughing7: Nice coins!

Ha usually the way it goes. It's the fire ant beds that hide the deep silver around here. Almost hate to scan them.

I’ve had some sh***y signals myself that turned out to be good finds. :tongue3:

Nope!@ I've done plenty of "doody dancing" over the years, and found some great finds! :headbang:

Maybe your on to something..... Maybe certain dog crap causes signal phasing anomalies that make for precise VDI readings!

The only doody dancing I ever did was trying to get it off my boot after I stepped in it.
