Managed to get out 3 times since the last post with some decent results. Didn't find anything exceptional but managed to recover a few early coins and relics.

Was happy to get my third old silver for this year. An other Seated dime 1853 (all of my Seated dimes are from 1853 for some reason)

An other old silver was an unusual relic that I believe to be a cover from a snuff box or from an old compass (late 1700's to mid 1800's)
It features a cross on one side and a Windrose on the other (thus the early compass theory) It doesn't have a hallmark but is made of 6 gr. of sterling silver.

Found a few military and civilian buttons

Two War of 1812 70th Regiment of Foot buttons as well as one Sappers and Miners. Two artillery buttons from 1830's and a partial infantry badge from the same period.

It looks to me like the silver cover once had a gemstone mounted in it
