Metal Detecting
Metal detected above and below one of the two dams along the Rancocas Creek here in town this morning. Found 8 clad coins with 1 nickel and 3 pennies dating back to the 1960s. Also found buried deep in the sandy bank an old MT. HOLLY NEW JERSEY EXEMPT FIREMENS STATE ASS'N flag holder/grave marker (about 2 feet tall). Mt. Holly is a town close by. I'm thinking that this was not his final resting place! As always thanks for looking. 002.JPG004.JPG005.JPG0704151030-00.jpg

Those are nice, especially the pin...d2

MOSH PIT THE MARKER IS A HECK OF A FIND .

Those markers here are being stolen because of their value at scrap yards. Anyone that would steal from the grave of our veterans has some really bad karma coming their way. Ok, enough ranting...
Good job hunting there. Waterways were the earliest highways and chances of old finds are there. I would really like to detect mud dredged from the river here.

Interesting find .
