a few good examples of mandan work

here is an example of TRSS (tongue river silicified sediment or more commonly called gray chert....i like it
who ever made it was pretty good at knapping
then an old scraper with two nice little graver spurs and made of KRF
then a real light colored arrow point made from KRF and i like the knapping

and last some pelican lake examples from the mandan site

Always enjoy visiting the Larson Museum of Mandan Artifacts ;)

That KRF point is stellar...and the siclicified point is interesting as well, I've found a silciifed "workshop" on one of my sites here, littered with flakes and countless broke hoes, all rough and crude but there none the less and only ever find these type artifacts within a few miles of the workshop, also have a very nice hand axe I found and my son found an adze as well, all of silicified material.
