A few hunts and finds.......Mastereagle still a wimp.

Well....Mastereagle has absolutely no drive to get out and hunt anymore, so I went out with Mammabear and hunted around her place. We had a great Saturday kicking around the woods. We didn't find a lot of treasure, but at least we swung a coil and had a good time. Here is some of the stuff we found. Perhaps with more time...it would have been a more impressive pile. Made a great friend though. Thanks Mammabear!




The next weekend, I hit an elementary school for about and hour and picked up the usual.....




I got a new 6" coil for my SE pro and was anxious to try it out. I headed to a "worked out park" and managed a few things. Some of these old rusty objects (ie: the hoe) must have been when they were putting in the park back in the early 1900's. Found one 1916 Wheat.....felt better about the new coil then.






Went camping at a nearby Lake with the family and scoped out an old house built around 1900. Ask the homeowner on Saturday morning about detecting and she said her sons had already hit it hard. I told her with the small coil, I thought there might be something left. She said I could try....and try I did. Not much to show, but found a few interesting things...




Cool old compact....wish it was all there. I found one on ebay in great shape for almost $100!

Found this little thing with a snake (broken) wrapped around it. Don't know what it once was...also a 1939 Wheat in the same hole with that little compact. I had to wonder if Mastereagles grandfather might have dropped the compact while fishing down there.



I also found this strange thing. What do you think? Barber shear cover or some kinda suspender clip? (Patent date 1912)






When I got back from the lake, I was undeterred.....I hit another house we had went over several times and scored a couple things:

Thanks. Yeah, I was really bummed that it was in such poor condition. Must be from right around the age of the Wheat....1939.

It really is hard to stay motivated when you have nobody to go with most of the time and no good places to hunt. That is why I was hoping the small coil would give me a chance to smoke out a few more finds in those beat down areas. In Mastereagles defense, his back has been killing him. Oh...and he is married too..........and....turned in his "man card" to his wife!

It really is hard to stay motivated when you have nobody to go with most of the time and no good places to hunt. That is why I was hoping the small coil would give me a chance to smoke out a few more finds in those beat down areas. In Mastereagles defense, his back has been killing him. Oh...and he is married too..........and....turned in his "man card" to his wife!

Yep. . . those small coils are good for those "hunted-out" areas

What BB is FAILING to tell you is that I cannot walk, let alone detect. My back is SEVERELY messed up and that is using the nicest words I can use to describe it.

If my leg doesn't feel like it's on flaming fire, then it feels like nothing cause it's tingling all the time.

I WANT to detect I just cannot get down and then get back up. I asked BB if he would carry me if I got down on the ground and couldn't get back up. He just laughed at me in an evil wicked way and said "Sure I will."

Now WC you know BB would you go hunting with someone like him that said something like that to you??

Anyway I'm working with the doc now and hopefully will get my back into shape, oh sometime around 2012.....

WC~ Don't buy into his good guy routine.....he is just putting on his T-Net face. He is really mean behind the scenes. :P

Mac~ Yeah, I had a pretty good time. I just wish I could find some better (target rich) areas to go. Seems to be more difficult to find anything lately. Sometimes I question my abilities with the Se Pro. Maybe I just haven't learned it enough yet. Hmmm.

Well if you consider the first two hours of the first hunt we went out together you didn't even have the thing turned on that might be a little clue........

And you know the real reason my back is sore. You make me carry you and all your gear around like a pack mule. That's the real reason.....

Behind BB's back we've all been saying for years that ME has been carrying him. Considering what that could do to a man's back.........

ME should be happy to be vertical!

BB,like the way you have recommitted yourself!Great hunts and finds.That kinda looks like an old GEM single edge razor. If ME's back is really hurting that much,I certainly hope it improves quickly(wonder if a new SE would help it?).That was the rumor going around that he was pouting because you got the new detector and he was afraid he wouldn't find anything anymore with you.He had let it be known that when you two went hunting you were always jumping in front of him but other than having to look at your backside,it didn't bother him because you couldn't find anything with that old detector.You guys are both nuts and I am really looking forward to seeing the two of you at CTH3 in May.

I too am glad to see a little sparing from these two. I've missed it. But ME, BB has a bad leg I have 2 bad knees, & with you, & 3 canes, we could go at least a couple ft. who knows what we could find!
BB I love the compact. wish it was whole.
