So I was finishing up a trash pit that I had been digging over the past week that has produced probably several hundred artifacts. Hundreds of pottery shards , buttons and lots of broken bottles and iron items and bones. I found these items yesterday but the button was one I’ve never seen before . Was wondering if anyone has seen one similar to this , maybe something was attached to it? Explaining the holes in it. Not sure . Any thoughts or ideas . Thanks for looking! Maybe someone was using the button as a string whizzer?

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

some great Westerwald and tin-glazed ware is still in that pit! Definitely worth expanding/sifting. Congrats!
