A few nice finds

Well as a newbie here I like reading about all the great finds, how, and where. I am new to the detecting hobby as I have recently retired from military service. I have recently found some good finds, sorry still working on the digital pics. the best find was a 1916 Merc. Dime in fairly good condition containing most of the details in sharp condition. I found a great, very sharp 1911 wheat on lake house property that used to belong to four Judges that are no longer among us. Obtained permission from the current land owner. Found a nice Sheriff pin on my family home property in Fayetteville NC That bears his name along with other details. Last weekend I found a 1873 45-70 rifle on the same lake house property. On our local tot lot I found tons (maybe not quite a ton) of clad and a nice woman's gold necklace watch without the chain and a very nice sterling silver ring with 3 amethyst stones. Maybe I'll get the pics up soon. Good hunting all
