Nice stuff!
Those Tinkler's and points are great.. Having the cane and even some leather makes me think water finds......(muck)

wow, love those bells, 22 in the same hole, wonder why all those were in the same hole? interesting!! glad to have you here~!!

really nice finds must have been fun digging the riffle and the parts. Thanks for sharing

Did you find any serpent sideplates with the rifle? That's great that you were able to find wood and leather remnents in the tinklers and points. Awesome finds, congratulations.

A friend of mine had found over 40 bells in one hole with guns, parts of a saddle ,stone pipe, assorted beads, some silver I have a photo I will try to post it.
There was an article in Western&Eastern Treasure in the
Sept. 1981 issue listing the items found by Sandy Cline

The article was in the July 1983 issue of WESTERN & Eastern Treasure by Sandy Cline the one in the early issue was about another cache of goods l

Weren't they all strung together? so they were probably tossed there still connected and whatever was connecting them rotted away.
" Somebody didn't get there with bells on"

The bells I found were in a leather pouch, with a assort other goodies
What we have seen here is the oxidation of copper ,brass, andsilver preserves what every it touching we have found leather, wood, even cloth with some of the finds.
We assume this were caches of personal items either that or we found the site where Jingle Bells was composed

They were trade goods.
All the items you found were used commonly as trade items between the Europeans and the Native Americans looks like what you found was a pouch of goods to be traded or had been acquired through trade.
Did you find Native American artifacts there as well? or were there more European artifacts?.. That will probably tell you which one of the scenarios you stumbled upon

They are historic Indian sites ,
This area is cover with them, most have gone by the wayside due to progress about all the sites we use to hunt is got homes areinsomeone back yard. I use to use a
Garrett Master Hunter have since upgraded to new machine need to get out and what we missed.

Good for you you're saving those items.
Nice job and good luck in the future

not asking for directions, but what state were these items found? just curious

In your backyard no kidding I even may have hunted where you are hunting
