Finally after a long drought and vicious DT's, I got aboard a plane and headed to find some relics at this year's GNRS. For those in the know, Nautilus has won the last several years, but this year Bounty Hunter took Top Place. :o
Left on Thurs and hunted Fri. and Sat. Weather was cool but warmed up quite nice on Sat. but the rainy drizzle started about noon on Sat. when the drizzle and rain started and ended early Sunday.

We went on towards Charleston on Sunday for a final day on our own with some friends from the hunt.
There I wound up making a few more saves.

SkyPirate, that was the 1st signal before dirt was removed. It was the mini ball.

Very nice finds.

We made it home on Mon. afternoon after 3 days of detecting from 830AM til at least 4PM each day with Sunday hunting til about 6PM. Dragging my butt into town, we headed down Grand and low and behold!! There was a fresh sidewalk tearout being done. So what's a guy to do with good clothes on and tired as a dog? Yep you got it....time to get down and dirty. ;D Wound up with an IH and an early wheatie. lol

Now that is a guy who loves to detect. I sure hope you drop those buckles. I will give them a good home. :tongue3: Congrats Stoney.

Burdie

Thanks Stan!! Already in the case, don't think they'll be dropped. LOL The other one on the right is a spur buckle.

serger, they were tearing another sect. out when I left on Thurs. on the way to the airport....almost stopped and unpacked the detector. ;D

Sometime maybe, just maybe I will get to go to and not just to the airport! :-\ ;D

Terrific!Great finds,Jeff.I'm glad the weather held for you and that you had a safe trip.

Jeep ... you use a Bounty Hunter ;D ?

Religiously

I believe that First Texas makes a great product for a great price.

Works for me.

Good ! With this hunt Team Batulis has won every year for at least 4 or 5 years so nothing against them, it was just really nice someone else won .... and no Jeff uses Tesoro! :laughing7:

Ahhhhh Tesoro

Actually I have a Tesoro Sand Shark that I use in the Gulf

They make a great product, Jack Gifford left Bounty Hunter to start that company and he was the chief designer of the BH TR500 series that I still own.

Bounty Hunter is lacking in the underwater department but Tesoro took care of it.

Nice finds
