A firemen token/metal?

Hunted an old property today. Tons of iron everywhere but managed to pick a few clad coins and relics out. One thing I found in what used to be a garden for many decades was a token or metal that I have never seen. It had a little loop at the top at one time, but its broken off now. I have no idea what it is but I really dig it, and it looks old...

Sideways... I dont know why it comes out like that from my phone... size of a quarter
