- Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.

I've learned to just haul these rust, broken glass, iron object and whatever else was in the way of rust formation out with me. I let them dry out and tap them apart later. It gets heavy but there's been some surprises the last few years from this site including a 10k white gold infant ring, enamel and brass lapel pins, a Skelton key, old transit token, a bit of silver chain with glass beads a silver Roosevelt dime. The iron and rust act as a sacrifical oxidizing metal helping preserve the nonferrous items inside the formation.
This old Crucifix could be silver, but needs to electrolysis to get the last bit of rust off. I'll update post when it's completely clean.
Confirmed. Marked Sterling on the back just incase rotten egg smell didn't give it away. Updated pic coming soon..
