Today was pretty mild today so I decided not to waste a opportunity to get out. We're not going to get many more days like this. So my main plan was to hit the driveway where there used to be a poor farm. I had done it before for a couple of buttons. Nothing at all,so I went across the street where the barn used to be and dug up a key on a chain. Definitely bot newer, maybe 50-60s?? It says gm your key to greatness on it. So after a hour I gave up. I decided to try this spot on my way home. I've got some decent things out of it but not since last year. But since I know the area was around in 1740-50 ,I keep going back. I went towards this big pine that I found a large cent at last year. About a foot from it ,I get this scratchy signal that says 8 inches. As I start to dig down,it becomes solid. A KG!! Awesome! No date but after a soak, maybe I can get one. I cover my hole and swing the CTX to the left and it hits a high mid tone. I'm like,no way right?! It says 10 inches and it was every bit of that. At first I thought it was 2 coins stuck together. After I knocked some dirt off,it looked like a round box. I shook it,hear something rattling around in it. So I had to open it. A 1779 reale and a 1832 capped bust half dime was inside. Unreal! Then it started raining. I think I have to explore this place a little bit more 😎
