Well, I have been away from T-net for quite a while. I have been detecting as much as possible with the SEF coil and I can say without any doubt it is the best coil I have ever used. The ground conditions here in the piedmont of North Carolina is very extreme.
First I can not believe the target seperation of this coil. I use it on my DFX, by the way. The key is to accept a wide range of VDI's and listen to both the trash target and the good target. I accept -40 to +95. I have dug several great finds that I would not have found before. For example, at an old school yard, I found a merc dime in the same hole as a nail and an iron disc about the size of a penny. The depth of the targets were 5 inches on the nail and 6 inches on the dime and disc.
Second, you MUST reduce your filters to either 2 or 3 and sweep the coil like it's a minelab SLOOOOOOOOWWWW.
I must say this has been a great month of detecting. My finds include, but are not limited to, 60+ wheat pennies, 19 silver dimes, 2 silver quarters (one Washington and one Barber) jewelry, pocket knives, an Enfield, .54 cal Sometimes referred to as "Green Rifle" Machine pressed with cone cavity , no grooves, tall pattern civil war bullet, parts of pocket watches and many many more finds.
This coil is the real deal and has easily paid for itself in the first month.
