Good stuff, Congrats!

I would have called in sick :)

Outstanding! That is a dream find!!!

That's a nice one!

Musket gun parts I am guessing ?

Wow, thats a place i would hunt more, just to look if other parts show up! :icon_thumleft:

Dream find indeed! Is that regt, rack, and stand number on the piece on the top left??? Nice butt caps from early pistols there too! Would love to know more about the piece on the upper left! Could be a banner find!!!

DeeDubs done dug up some new stuff, neat finds, vanzutphen

Excellent finds!
A site worth pounding for sure.

The treasure should be buried slightly deeper than the gun bits, you're almost there!

More info needed on what this is exactly!

Damn that is sweet…deserves a better title than that…Banner in my books all day long!!!

nice finds. you have for sure a pistol butt plate. my guess is both pieces go together but it could be from two separate weapons. I would hunt the are to death as you are obviously finding good relics.

I'd be on the lookout for pirate treasure in the area. And the fun part is I'm not even joking :treasurechest::thumbsup:

That Brown Bess regimental wrist plate is an outstanding find! And 2 pistol butt caps is icing on the cake! Good stuff I'd hit that area hard, dig iron and you might find more parts, like maybe the locks and barrels....

Anyone able to speculate on the long copper item in the last picture. Found an identical fragment that I couldn't quite ID...always thought it was part of a spoon, maybe not.

The last picture looks like a part of an old ornate hinge. Treasure Chest???

those are pretty sweet, very cool!

I hear yah about work ! Glad there are more than what I thought that are doing something other than a leisure hobby.
Most of the daily post stars are retired , and imho , nothing wrong with that .......

Dug flint lock rifle and pistol parts , some are ornate and engraved with Unit designations , like the 22nd Regt, it may go back to Rev War British .

Great finds ! What State are you hunting ?
