"A SALUTE TO OUR SOLDIERS"

I see you standing among them all
Standing so strong ,proud and tall
The world looks at you, but does not see
Everything you sacrifice to keep us free

I'm here to say, to let you know
That you are loved, even if it doesn't show
You fight for our hopes, dreams, and liberty
You fight for our freedom...... A hero to be

We want you to know, your never alone
For we are waiting, for you to come home
But the hardest thing for a person to be
Is you.. A SOLDIER, fighting
To keep us free

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES
WHO HAS SACRIFICED SO MUCH...
TO KEEP US ALL SAFE AND FREE......

Day is done
gone the sun
from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well
safely rest,
God is nigh.

Thank you, for you service! :notworthy:

Here(surely) comes flaming arrows with this comment. I think that a lot of military soldiers fail to admit that their leaders...Bush or Obama or whomever...needs to get personal thoughts about NOT being a gungho pound-your-chest person. We aren't fighting an invasion of the USA. It's politics and for political gains 99% of the time. I appreciate the soldiers. I just get pissed by my old Viet Nam vets acting like clowns about the military actions. They seem to me to be like human drones, mindless.

Yes I do support my troops. I just think it is sad when they automatically go into Rambo mode without thoughts. Bush dragged us into a pitifull way. I fault many for being so stupid by not seeing the nonsense. We haven't had a winning war in decades. That should tell them something IMO.

I knew a Medal of Honor winner from WW2 who died a few years ago. Just seemed like a normal guy.
