A Hunters Dream!!! Half Dollars, Merc's, IH's, Tokens, Rings!!!

OK y'all, You ever had one of those days that just goes the way you always wanted it to go. You know, find a spot
that no one has ever hunted!! Well it happened to me and my partner today. A friend of mine called me and told me about this site, said he couldn't hunt it because of his health and wanted to know if I would help the owner learn his new detector. Dah!!! You Bet!!!

We all went to this site, an old one room school house that was once used as a bar in the 1920's. All 3 of us got in about 4 hours of good hunting before mother natural took over and it rained.

The owner didn't find much, but Gary and I tried to show him how to use his new detector. We would find targets and have him check and see if he could find the signal. He did dig a really nice silver snake charm, and a wheatie and I gave him a token that I found worth 5 cents in trade. I had found two, but gave him one. Were going back and hope he finds some really good stuff. Were going to give him a SunRay probe to use with his ACE 250. That will help a whole bunch.

Gary had a Fantastic day, his finds are as follows. 1945 Walker Half dollar, 1928 Standing Liberty Quarter, 1943 Mercury Dime, 1841 Half Dime, 1850 Large Cent, 1935 Buffalo Nickel, two Indian Heads 1864 & 190?,a 1866 Shielded Nickel, 9 Wheat penny's '42,'32,'44,'40,'36D,'44,'11,'44,'45. One 1933, 30 Years of Ford Token, 1-Double Headed Washington Token, 1-Butterfly Ladies pin and 1- 10K Gold Ladies Ring.

I found a 1941 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a 1944 Washington Quarter, a 1957 Roosevelt Dime, 1941 Mercury dime, two Buffalo nickels 1919 and one with no date, a Indian Head penny 1898, 2-K tokens worth 5 cents in Trade, 1-M P Faber, Genoa, Oh 5 cents in trade token, 1-1901 Pan American exposition, S-Cream Separator, MCH, Co. Bellows Falls, Vt. Token, 1-Love charm Lee & Bill and 21 Wheat pennies, '44,'44,'44,'19,'46,'42,'28,'38,'54D,'41S,'40,'45,'10,'40,'17,'52D,'30,'19,'46,'41,'42. Also one Cigar top E-UPMANN HABANA and one Ring.

What a Day, Hope all of you find a spot like this someday!!!

Sorry, I looked at it again, and it's a 1919. Guess I didn't look at it that close until you asked me about the Buffalo. Thanks for your Reply,

is it a 1919 P (No mint mark) or is there a mint mark on it? if your not sure where the mint mark is it's on the backside (reverse) on very bottom under the five cent between the E an C

Denny, if you had come to Tennessee to watch my CW presentation to the 4Th graders on Tuesday and attended the Hartsville Battlefield tour that I conducted for them yesterday, you would not have found all this LOOT. Dman and I should have come to Ohio. WTG Bud!!!

Mostly toothbrush and soap and water, then a nice light coat of olive oil, real light!

Thanks Quindy, yes I'm glad I just stayed here in the Great State of Ohio and dug all those goodies. But it would have been fun viewing your presentation and going to that historical site.

Thanks Bula for your reply and I hope you find your hot spot someday. My partner and I have found 3 or 4 of them in the last couple of years we have been hunting. They sure make a person's day.
