I was going over some local Travis County, TX history when I stumbled on this lead:

Ira Olive and Print Olive - Cattleman brothers of known wealth are driven out of TX due to thier violent reputation around March 1877. They go to Nebraska, tangle with the wrong guys (Ketchums it reads) and meet a quick end around August 16, 1886.

At this time, a cattle sale will be $2k to $20k in gold, thus worth checking out. Many cattlemen used banks, these guys I suspect didn't due to their reputation.

Reference you'll need -
Land of Good Water by Scarbrough; its a pricey book, you can do an Inter Library Loan to get it. Check page 294 out.

Thanks for the lead! Maybe I'll add this to the short list I'm researching. Thanks again!! :)
