A little history on this park is that a locally famous individual used to reside near by in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The locals named the beach after him. The beach here was frequented by many of the locals since the early 1900's or before and the surrounding land where the home of this famous person once lived became a public park in the 60's. The fact that this area was frequented by locals since 1900 or so makes me think some older coins are to be found here. I have already found wheats and merc going back to the mid 20's. There are bound to be some standing libs or barbers here. Who knows maybe I will find my first 90% half dollar or dollar coins here. I go out again tomorrow I will show you guys what I find.
