Hit another beach and did the dry sand until it warmed up a bit. The dry was pretty 'clean', notwithstanding bottle caps. 
Was wondering if I should even bother going in the water there, but figured why not, since I was already there.
There were quite a few targets, mostly in the deep where I was up to my neck.
Ended up with almost $6 in clad and a 10k gold earring.
Gonna hit an old gold camp tomorrow with an old neighbor man.
