I almost missed the trap cause I had the discriminator set to not pick up nails but I could'nt eliminate them completely cause then I would also eliminate coins and stuff, I had it so nails would just make a chirping sound, anyways when I went over the trap it chirped like it was a nail and I was gona pass over it but decided to move a little of the dirt with my foot and check anyways and there was a little bit of the trap part so I pulled it up and found the chain part too, I worked it for probably 5 hours but did'nt get far, I am trying to walk across it back and forth but being that I am looking down most of the time watching where I am going it is hard to walk straight so I ended up going over the same row more than once.

lay down a peice of kit string
tie is close to the ground with to stick etc
walk on one side
then at the end walk back up the other side

Ed is right... I've done that, or, don't worry too much about it because sometimes the perfect angle will detect something... and you'll get it the second pass.
