Hey folks,

Got out there for one last hunt on this flexible work week of mine. It’s a great time a year to hunt in the Pacific Northwest. The temperature is moderate and the rain has held off for the most part.

I was hoping to get a couple more silver coins today but only got the one. Woe is me [emoji23]. I found the 1942-P war nickel pretty early on. I lost track of the wheats over time but was hoping I had enough to hit 400 for the year by the end of the hunt and sure enough, I cleared the bar by one!

The sterling ring gave me a banger of a signal. I thought there was a good chance I was digging a silver dollar or half dollar. No complaints with that find though. I’ll take silver however I can get it!

Other finds of interest included the 1940 KGVI Canadian penny, and two interesting pins. The first days something like “Seattle Girls PSAL (Public School Athletic League)”. The second says “Cub Scouting National Summertime Award”. Pretty neat!

Thanks for following along with all my mini-adventures this week and good luck hunting out there!

Thanks all. Can’t complain about the silver count. I’ve got 82 silver coins and 10 silver objects this year. Pretty productive overall considering I’m a newlywed and all I think! Haha

Nice collection of finds and it’s always a great hunt when you find a couple of silvers!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice job Wash!! It’s the short, unplanned hunts that usually produce the best!! Congrats brother

Looks like another fun and productive hunt for ya. Nice count on your wheat totals and all the Silvers you've dug. Congrats!
Are you hunting parks or door knocks?

Way to go W, another great day in the field! I think you need to write a book!

congrats on the marriage, that in itself could be a huge find

Damn right that’s productive! Makes my 12 coins + 5 objects look Mickey Mouse, lol. Kid duty is my excuse [emoji6] You still have some season left, looking forward to seeing that number creep up before you are done.

Thank you! A bit of a combo of everything. Door knocks, tear downs, Schools, sidewalks. I like to mix it up to keep it fresh. Parks around here have largely been worked out so I don’t find them to be a very productive use of my time.

Thank you everyone!

Impending life changes like home ownership, dog ownership and becoming a father in the next couple years have lot a fire under me this year. This is probably my last year of this much detecting for a while.

Nice haul! but only 400 wheats for the year? what a slacker!:laughing7:

That's a great hunt. Nice collection of finds.:icon_thumright:
