A little silver
A friend asked Me to help Him decide where to mount a 90' ham radio Mast,so used Metal detector and 4'fiberglass probe,had to relocate about4' from His chosen spot was a large iron plate maybe septic tank cover.
as He strted to dig I searched first site with 4" coil was able to isolate a few good target,3 silver dimes wheat pennie a fewpull rings .The site is only abt 4 foot square. lots of nails and a heart stopper a square iron box edge....Well My wrecking crew tore it out of ground bad news..A septic tank cover,not so bad the area has had sewers for 50 years or more so the honeypot had been filled.
Abt that time I heard someone say "Button"
The homeowner had dug up a large Post civil war Eagle great coat button...
Those were the only finds for today but I will go back..
