Had a couple hour hunt late yesterday at a park in Baltimore, one that we used to take our sons to when we lived in the City.

I concentrated on the ball field and did recover 9 deep wheats. One of those wheats was resting against a 1926 mercury dime, a two-coin spill. The pennies are from the 40s and 50s, thus the wear on the dime. IMG_7809.JPG

An early find was this cross that is marked "SOLID COPPER" on the back.

My last deep target was a part of a silver earring. IMG_7810.JPG

Looks like a great day to me, Congrats!

Thanks Randy. A quiet park that is tucked away in NE Baltimore City, the ball field has overgrown in its disuse.

Thanks SD51! Yes, I had visited my folks in the afternoon and this spot is a short drive from their apt. and I hadn't been there for awhile. Never found much there before, some wheats and a silver ring a couple years back. It was a good time listening for faint high tones.

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft:

Thx Professor! Looks like the heat has set in here in Baltimore. That was my last hunt ina city park until September.

Thanks Inspector! Sure was sweet to see that shine in the hole!

Thanks Trezurehunter! Did dig a merc back in May. Always a great surprise.

Thanks VTColonialDigger! Just watched the most recent Green Mountain Metal Detecting on YouTube. Keep digging those relics in VT.

Little silver is big in my book
