This is just a nice little heat treated Coastal plains Duval, with a nice patina( gloss )...Duvals normally have minimal edge retouch, this one’s no exception, found at Alligator Lake, Safety Harbor, Pinellas county Florida.

Nice, Safety Harbor has given up some nice stuff. I went to a little museum there that had a few artifacts. A lot were from up north I guess donated by some Yankee!

Exceptionally nice for a Duval. I had a killer example, unusual in that it was uniface. It was in a frame of birdpoints that was stolen a few years ago.

We had just got our tax exempt status, his widow donated the collection..I have no idea as to whereabouts, that’s why I don’t donate to museums

I never knew anything about other collectors outside of Florida except Don Morrow, an Ohio collector, he was instrumental in getting our publication started,and artifact shows going.kinda like what Ohio had., that’s when I started learning about points from other states..
