A Misty Start Ends With Silver

I've been wanting to get out to see how my new Detech 5 x 10 DD search would work on my MXT Pro. I got up early but after looking outside I was a little hesitant to head out detecting. Finally, I couldn't take it any more, so I loaded up and headed out to an older part of town.

I really like the new search coil. It's super light, deep and pinpoints great! I found a bunch of clad quarters before finally getting my search coil over a silver one. It give a ID of 94/95, so I thought that I might have a silver half under the search coil. Not this time, it turned out to be a like new 1964 quarter.

Anyhow, I'm glad that I got to do some detecting today, because the next few days are going to be consumed with Christmas dinners and such.

Thanks! I'll take what I can get! It's getting harder and harder to find silver. I'm starting to go back over some places twice. That's a fun thing to do though especially using a different detector or search coil.

I'm rain in today and it looks like with all the Christmas stuff and rain that it will be next Tuesday or Wednesday before I will get to go detecting again. Oh and it's going to be muddy as well!
