Went detecting in the woods below a logging road and above a creek which used to be worked for gold in the 1800's.
A complete pick axe was a nice find. Lots of times, at least one of the ends is broken off.
Surprise find was a bottle of beer that still had the cap on and it appears to still be carbonated. Looks like it's from 1974. I'll be inviting some of my detecting buddies over to celebrate.
I'm sure 43 year old beer that's been sitting on the forest floor all this time is going to taste great!!
