Got on a hot site and dug a total of 6 coppers. The best ones are a very clean 1803 Draped Bust as well as my 2nd 1796 Liberty Cap large cent.

The first three coins in the top of the first picture were in a coin spill and all came out of the same hole. The site dates to right around the turn of the 18th century. The other coins were 3 more Draped Busts and the old head version of a King George II halfpenny. Lots of buttons, a thimble, a clasp, and some unknown hinge-like object.

That kills me how you can go out in the middle of an overgrown woods and find stuff like this in the NE. Not many people here a long time ago I guess. I go into the woods here and I'm lucky to find one shotgun shell brass! Location, location. The farther east you go, the better finds you will get. Gary

Well done DE! That Lib Cap is quite a coin

Nice finds, Congrats!

Awesome finds! Six coppers on a single trip is some great digging. Care to show the reverse side of the coins? Congrats!

Not much going on with the Liberty Cap reverse. The Draped Bust reverse is nice though. I'll try to get a picture up when I get back home.

The Liberty Cap reverse is pretty much gone, but here's the Draped Bust:
