Our club here had an outing at an old mining town called Winkelman Az. and here are some of the finds. An old mining tag from the Arizona Smelting and Refining Co probably dating to the early 1900's, a small bell marked with Harley Davidson, small pile of clad coins, a Shell Co. presidential token for William Taft, a copper quarter sized slug used to cheat vending machines, some whatsits with a piece of melted silver on the right of the three items. The rings and wheats were a previous hunt. The Wheats are 1919, 1929d, 1944. The silver round was won by me after the 2 hour hunt. We have an old large key that is buried and searched for and the finder wins a silver round. Just a monthly tradition our club does. The ring on the left is costume jewelry and the one on the right is marked 18k HGE. Both cheap rings. HGE means heavy gold electroplate. It was a nice day and easy digging for Arizona, as we have had some rain lately in the desert. Thanks for looking and stay warm up there in the frozen North.
