Ahhh, making memories with family and friends - worth more than gold. 7:30 am, eating cereal, getting melted on front side, freezing on backside. Risky
behavior (on bike - no helmet, no kneepads) - WTG! No hysteria on scraped knees. No ear buds, no Justin Bieber music. All crew members working together
in harmony - now that's a reality show. And for the newbies lurking, that's what mercury partially amalgamated with gold looks like. Question, was merc in the dirt, or did you bring it? Great vid - waiting for next installment!

Merc was found in the dirt, already had gold trapped and also swallowed my loose gold that you saw in the pan in the beginning.

Wherever your dirt pile is coming from, that could be the location of a commercial dredge operation, circa late 1800's, and where they had a burp in recovery
resulting in loss of significant amounts of gold and merc out of sluice boxes. Keep digging!

...no sweating a lil mercury coated gold. Looks pretty chunky. Careful or you'll be mad as a hatter in no time.

No sweating a lil merc is right. I built this today. Retort.... yay

After you get the retorting process down to a routine, hope you share with a video.

Plan on doing that tonight. Watch for the video

I was kinda thinking the tenth or fifthteenth time you burn off, when you can film with utmost respect for the potential dangers involved! Look who's being
hysterical now - me.

Actually. It worked out great. There aren't any dangers if you do your homework. Didn't shoot video but out of an almost 9 gram ball of merc we pulled 3.8 grams of gold.

By my calculations, when you finish with that dirt pile, you should have 7 lbs of gold and 15 lbs of liquid mercury - no?, let me check my figures again:tongue3:

Man that would be nice lol
