Dredging for the micro gold in the tree roots. For the small amount of dirt that he moved he did pretty well. Hoping to make it back to this spot with the sawzall to get underneath them.

Best day ever! Took me hours longer then I expected to get into the spot and only had 3 hours to prospect until I had to hike out. But it paid off. 15grams sniping along an area of white water. :headbang:

Hiked back into the spot with the great gold we found the weekend before. Decided to try down stream a little further and the bedrock was too smooth. Found a little in the hard pack but was mostly a let down. Keep working my way up stream and on day 3. 10 bazillion moved rocks later and about 4ft below where we found the gold above we hit the jackpot. All this gold was in the low spot of a huge crack in a white clay/mud layer. First time ever seeing a pocket of gold like this and damn it felt good! Following the crack it is heading to the deeper parts of the river and under a huge rock. So I have been looking into the Sierra blaster.

you need to make a flusher nozzle to install on your water supply that's close to your 4 inch nozzle !That would keep you from having to fan the material to expose your gold ! MAN O MAN I'm jealous as ............... well lets just say I'm happy for you! It's great to see you out with your children and they are having a ball ! :coffee2:

I do have a garden hose hooked up for flushing. Although I need to upgrade to a 1" hose for some more power. The fanning and no glove was just for the video. =)

Went back to the honey hole and did okay, but getting less and less gold as I head up stream. It looks like no one has been there in a long time/ever. The gravel at the bottom is so packed in that the water jet wont touch it. I am having to break it apart beating it with a rock hammer. So do I keep going and hope there is a hole behind the next large rock that caught all the gold or cut my losses and move on to a new spot. :icon_scratch:

This was my best year ever. Between the kiddo and I we found way more then we expected. Not sure how much of that is luck vs hard work! Have everything packed up for winter and need to order new hoses and supplies for next season, change oils, clean out the gas tanks etc etc. But now that it is raining a ton I have had time to go through video and put some together. Also hoping with enough rain I can hit some creeks that are dry 10 months of the year and see if the old timers left anything behind. So stay tuned!
