Because we can’t resist and the digging conditions are perfect atm, we went out this evening to finish the fields we have been doing this week.

This gold button was my last dig as the light was fading I saw the gold nd nearly dropped my pointer, ok so not a coin, but it sure is pretty. The front is toasted, but I’m not complaining! More little buttons, and lead, I have a strange attraction to folded lead for some reason! Couple of buckles, and a little catch (?) … then a couple of strange “Knobs” . Picked up this flat stone, it’s probably natural but feels nice, and this catch/latch sitting on top, so I picked it up😆 xx

We got a few coins, which will try and I’d, but even I could manage to I’d this lovely 1872 Queen Vic one 🤓

so we have I’d 2 of the coins we found… one is a William 4th farthing (1831-1837) and the other is George 2nd half penny (1746-1754) !

So what is it??
Looks familiar
No lead please.
Doesn't ring my bells.😊

Spectacular finds, always!

I don’t know, been googling but haven’t got anything yet! Will keep looking! xx
My ability to search has really gone downhill.
Until someone else mentioned todays ability vs the more recent past's , I thought it was just me.

Was looking for an unrelated (sorry I'm off topic) video on a water derived power source on an old farm I'd re-found before in the past easy. And it's not to be found now.

Its a makers mark for a Shoe Buckle bit. Part of the internal workings of an 18th C Shoe Buckle.

Not sure on the lead & Iron 'knob' but the other is a 19th C Drawer Pull.

i use Archi uk maps, which show old maps and previous historical finds. We have about 15,000 acres on our permission…. so we are very lucky. Fields we think will be good, are not always, and other fields are brilliant … so guess work is also a factor and luck obviously 😊 x

Thank you very much for your information. . I am a firm beliver in good research improves our finds111
