Oh I don't know, when I was younger every holiday was haul the manure day at Gramp's farm. Yep all the men folk,meaning usually me and my cousins, got to haul manure before we got to eat. As we had to dig the stuff out as it had been there a few months sometimes, this relates to digging for treasure.

After a while you didn't notice the smell, so maybe if everyone in a far far away galaxy didn't shower, nobody would notice after a bit.
