A Rare Treat...Snow In Cajun Country

Just got power back @ 5:30 today and internet service back @ 8:00. How did I survived this I just don't know. 3 days of cabin fever is enough for me...the snow was pretty at first, snowed constantly for 6 hrs then stopped, by then limbs were cracking & breaking and the constant noise of them hitting the ground sounded like a war zone. By day two I was going bonkers. Honest to goodness, I know what they mean now when they talk about snow blindness, my eyes hurt to look at it. Enjoy the pics...hope I don't see this stuff again, not for a long time. I understand it was a record for our area 4-6" and some places got 8".

Very cool pictures RR! Like I said a bit of snow down South for us is always nice to see.

We could do without the snapping power lines and power outages though.

No need for cabin fever. Get bundled up, grab your gloves..............build a snow man, have a snow ball fight, go sleding (no excuses you can use a big hunk of cardboard for a sled if you need to), take a walk in the woods grab a tree branch and watch your buddy get covered in snow. Way too much to do in the snow! Enjoy it while you can.

Thanks everyone, looking back on these pics is almost like a dream. Winter wonderland in South LA...a rare treat. Kimmie, there's no hills here to ride the slopes I never got into the front yard to take a pic of my house, it was too dangerous under those pines. I went to town yesterday, and just driving the roads looked as if a hurricane passed through here with all the downed trees.

Of course you could say that about hurricanes down in you neck o duh woods.
I did get a new roof out of whatever that last hurricane was that came speeding up here to KY from the gulf.
