After finding the 1895 barber quarter and 1882 IH Friday, the coins kind of fizzled out Sat. and Sun. The nice relics were coming up.
Found a sweet 1" Crotal bell, sash buckle, heart shaped locket that rotates up to open, climax padlock, 1915 Buff, three wheats '25, '34' ans '51. Saturday I meet up with Jack Ind. and hit a site that had a log cabin on it. That's where most of the relics came out of. Got to get back there and hit it again.

Any info about the crotal bell is appreciated. From what I've read and seen I believe that the bell is 19th century?

Thanks for looking gang.

You're right.....Nice finds. ;D

I thought they were. But, we've had a bunch of super nice coin finds today.

Hey Ken. Those relics look nice. Are there any initials on the bell? They would be in the center above and below the split.

I found a bell and it had the initials W.E.B. For william barton. Seeker gave me the info. Turns out those type of bells(same as yours) were made during a wide time frame. Anywhere from Mid 1800's to very early 1900's.

Did Indiana Jone...er Jack find anything good?

Bob

Jack is on a week long hunt with his dad in Western Indiana. But, yea, he found a flat button and a handcarved white bone or shell button. Real nice. We only got to hit that field for about an hour. Can't wait to get back.

Thanks for asking Bob.

Those arew some nice finds Kas.
Those old crotal bells were also used as trading bells.
The Indians prized them and traded goods for them.
Here is one I found a while back.
