A spectacular event last night.

Last night a most rare occasion took place which had the whole neighborhood in a buz. It was the northern light lighting up the sky. In all my life this makes it a 3rd time I've seen it reach this far south.

All I saw was my neighbors flood lights.
He does live just north of me there’s that.

They probability thought it meant a bad deal was about to happen and had to make a sacrifice to appease the angry spirits. Then they had to choose who it be to fix the issue.

Well they didn’t actually see what we are seeing here. The photo is especially vibrant due to the slow exposure speed. That’s what I learned last time they were visible in my area. Slightly odd to the eye, amazing when photographed at night.

That's true. Last year when the auroras came south, it was hard to even see them with the naked eye, but the camera really brought them out. This year, though, they were very obvious to the naked eye, but still way more vibrant in photos. Here's how they looked in Missouri this time around.

Yeah I missed that whole deal. But camped the next night and not a glimmer. I've seen them a few times, even as far south as Oklahoma, but usually it's just a red glow on the horizon.

Lovely. We were supposed to see it here too, the Southern Lights, but unfortunately their was rain and cloud nearly all night. 🫤

From last year, I drove inland to 2200 feet above sea level from the coast. 20 minute drive was worth it ! By the way great pics !!
