Went driving out West yesterday , overall did a loop of over 400 klm. Stopped and detected at 2 schools, 2 churches and a town hall . Best part of my day was finding my first Silver and oldest coin to date .

Only 3 finds worth mentioning

An old Boot Spur attachment

1919 Penny

1906 English Sixpence

Silver and the copper are savers, but the stirrup is the top ranked keeper. Congrats on the three nice finds and your oldest silver to date.

You did good. My favorite too was the stirrup.

Nice finds, Mate. My wife and I are coming your way in March. Should I bring my detector?

Mate it's a big country what parts are you touring ? I'd say bring it anyway :)

I believe we will be on a cruise ship with some of the ports being, Sydney, Cairns, Port Douglas, Willis Island, Brisbane, then back to Sydney. I probably won't bring the detector along, but it would be fun. Keep up the good hunting.

Nice on the Edward Vll mate ! He didn't reign too long- (01 to 10 i think) so a tougher find than some .

Make sure you wave on your way past as you enter and leave Brisbane , i work right on the river and see the Cruise ships sail by.

Thanks , the condition of the coin is excellent as well , looks like it was dropped there last week.
