been admiring this place for years.
tax site doesn't list definite age.
just gives the 1900 estimate they list every house they don't know.
the Earth started in 1900 according to the tax people here.

grass was always kept immaculate, yet there was never anyone around.
tax site listed someone from out of the area.
knowing letters rarely work. too easy to ignore or say no
to someone in a letter. I just watched for a grounds keeper .

Wednesday on my way to hunt, first thing I notice coming over the hill
is no House ???

as I come up to the Front, the yard is Loaded with Heavy equipment :(
not wanting to Disturb them, I continued My plans to go to Herndon to hunt.

on the way back, not a sole in sight :( & the entire property looked something like this :(

My guess they either made Ruts they had to Level, Or they used the
Surrounding Grass to Level everything .

Just checked back on the Tax site.
The borough Purchased it at Tax sale in April :(

I know everything is worth a Try But I'm mentally kicking myself.

I guess I have to start reviewing all the tax records on abandoned places monthly :(

I feel for you. I was way too backward in coming forward when the WWII USA Camp at Sylvia Park, in Auckland, was pulled down to make way for a 'Super Centre'.
An opportunity missed, as I drove past the levelled grounds every day, before the new development.
There are still many more sites in NZ where we might pick up a dime.
