A tale of two key date indians

Ive found hundreds of indians but still looking for most of the key dates. I have found a lot that are corroded and dateless too. Tonight I got my first 1866 and a corroded one that looks like 1871 Also need help to identify the relic I found too. Looks like some kind of a key to me

Squirrel322 and Crusader are correct! Not exactly the same, but you can see the same little valve stop knob on this example. Love being corrected. LOL.
