I started doing some for a fellow around an old farm house. I had known his daughter from going to school with her. He had grown up in this house up until he had left to go to college. The house was handed down to him. As our new friendship developed he proceeded to tell me a story. When he was 17 years old ( about 70 now) his girl friend had decided to end there romance. He had given her his class ring to wear as most young love did back then. She returned it to him along with ending the romance. When he arrived at home that night, He told me when he got out of his car not thinking with his ring in his hand. He took the ring and threw it in to the backyard. He told me the best his memory the location of where he thought the ring would have landed. He said it was funny now and that he wished he had that ring. I searched that yard several times over the past couple years. I found some odds and ends and some pocket change just enough to keep my drive going. Well a few days ago I decided to blow the dust off the Prism II and play around. Well I hit it about 8 inches down. GOLD I had found his ring. I jumped into the truck and drove a couple miles to his present home. He was outside doing yard work when I pulled the ring from my pocket. The look in his eyes and the thank you's and the joy made both our days. He even went as far as to try to write me a check and to pay me for it. But the joy I seen in him was reward enough. I had always wanted to find something of value. But the reward of returning this ring back to it's owner was the best reward I have ever had. I had found a true treasure !!! Sorry for the sideways bad picture!
