about an Hour of "Recreation" Today

Couldn't decide where today, So I Followed my Nose.
Only been to this Site twice before that I remember.
I Don't think the Recreation Area is 20 Years old,
Though the First Signal I Ever dug there Was a Wheat.
I Wonder if it was the Only old coin Dropped there.




There was a Farmhouse on the Far Eastern Part of the Property
But The Grass is Like Wheat there

These 4 Came up as 5" deep Silver Dimes
& All four in a Row.
no idea Why,


After & I Hit the 4th. Which of Course I Had to Dig.
The Sun was Beating Down On me, So I Turned My Detector Off & Left.
As I Knew IF I Got another Signal the Same, I would have Dug it .

wasn't so Much the Warmth/heat but the Sun,
I Unfortunately left the House too Late,
& Could see the Cloud Cover Burning off in Front of Me.
So No matter How Fast I drove, I Couldn't get Under them.
Like a Magnifying glass the sun Hurt.
and

the grass Roots in this spot was so Tightly Wound.
it was hard to penetrate the ground to get at Targets.
and with the Sun beating Down it was sort of Killer.



another Thing I Noticed this year is the First that Mosquitoes Started Liking me.

Apparently Something in My blood/Meds/Diet has Changed

a) I think I need to stop and smell the roses... when I detect I don't really take pictures because I am so intent on finding something. I do stop and look around sometimes
b) I've seen it mosquitos prefer certain people over others. One person gets eaten alive while another doesn't at the same spot. Not sure the science behind it but it's an interesting thing.
c) nice limo!

I Take Pictures at the End of the Hunt.
If I Do it before, I fear I will Jinx Things & Get Skunked.
Downside, I Am Wore Out by the End and Walking around the Site to Take pics in that Condition
is a Chore. But I Only take the Pics if I'm confident I will be making a Post.


I Haven't been Bit more then 2 or 3 mosquitoes Since I was a Kid.
That is, as far as I Can Remember.
Only thing I Can figure something in my Diet or Meds .
is Inviting. Beginning of Each hunt this Year I get Bit.
Just Finally Packed My Spray. Bought it a Year or 2 Ago.
And Hardly ever used it, Because My biggest issue was Gnats. & It doesn't
seem to work on them Except when first applied
