Got out with OldDude today to a town we hit last year that was pretty good to us, I was determined to get us a good permission and just like that, first guy I ask BAM!, says have at er'
as you know last weeks permission trip was rough on us so that's what we needed, this house was mid 1800s but right away it was obvious it was cherry picked, only low tones and wheat tones seemed to be in this yard, managed to get 4 wheats throughout the clad, this beautiful pin im convinced is silver (rang in 11-43) and has "that tone" 20150424_100301.jpg20150424_192217.jpg and a 1905 Indian!:headbang:, also got this weird button or button cover, gonna need help with ID on this one too. 20150424_192129.jpgWe were getting ready to bail and got a screamer 11-44 again but only at 2 inches, I thought another clad quarter, well low and behold I got this gorgeous sterling ring!! This baby is heavy for its size, any help with age would be great. 20150424_113832.jpg That was the exit find for that yard.ring 4 sides.jpg Heres the take from the first yard.20150424_120002.jpg We went for lunch and back to knocking, only got 2 no's today cause those owners said they detect. We found another nice house and I ask the guy says sure but park in the neighbors driveway and you can hit that too!, I thought How lucky is that???? well this yard was likely cherry picked also, alot of low tones and penny signals, and the neighbors house wasn't any better, but I got another 2 wheats and a 1880 Indian!!:headbang:, 20150424_184608.jpg20150424_192120.jpg20150424_192154.jpgIt was getting late by that point so we left to try my cornfield but only hunted an hour there and dug some junk. Thanks for looking and HH!!

Thanks!, always helps when the 1st door ya knock on says absolutely, have at Er'! Was a fun day!!

Sweet hunt and Awesome ring!!

That door knocking can be rough specially when you get that owner that's almost happy you showed up. Then it's a 50-50 if it was already hit. Lol
Glad to see you got a couple oks and found some Great stuff.

Thanks! I haven't looked up the ring yet, but there is a 925 on the bottom, and I didn't realize how old that button cover was until someone else ID'd it!

Thanks again!!

Yah as long as it isn't stamped inside a house or diamond shape, it sounds like sterling. It is a very well made ring. Nice Pull!

They sure don't make them like that anymore, some beautiful work on that ring! Nice find!
