This is what I found in my fist hole.....Question if i put a chain on it and can get the wife to ware it can i call it jewelry ? dug for about a hour all together, pop cans, and just junk.. diffidently a learning curve recognizing a good signal from a bad. but it was fun.

I would get a sniper coil and if you can swing it get a YF -1 sunray probe for it, that's the tools you need for it!

This is funny. My first find was a Pepsi can. 80s vintage. I still gave it. Next target was a hole with 28 pennies. Thought I had struck it rich on that one.
I've paid for my detector already. It is an F2

willybe, all kidding aside, I would rather dig that as my first find over a piece of can slaw or round rotten zinc disk about the size of one of those older copper cents from the eighties. I think you have done well with your first find. You have to dig junk when learning a machine. I would have dug that crap myself, just to get it the hell out of the site.

found a kids silver bracelet and 63 cents yesterday. The braclet of course is not worth anything but was fun to find.
I have spent about 3 hours now and fell as though i am starting to understand the metal detector better I dig to verify the trash also, unless it just jumping all over the place.. I look for the more stable hits, that don't tend not to dance.
