I went out yesterday evening with my Ace 250 and I was getting crazy readings all throughout my yard. When I registered a good coin signal, I couldn't find anything. I just assumed I was getting a lot of interference so I went back out this morning. I wasn't getting many false readings, but when I would throw down a quarter to test out, my detector will not pick it up, no matter what I try. I have put all new batteries in, checked my coil, all my connections are good. Can anyone help?

Is it on the right mode?

Yes, I have it in coin mode and I don't have any coins discriminated out.

Ground balance sounds way off or else your machine needs to take a trip back to Garrett for a fix.

Put your sensitivity at 4 and see if that helps and do some bench testing

You're best bet is to call Garrett.
Their customer service is second to none.
They will help you resolve your problem.

I run my ace250 with only 2 bars from the bottom of the scale

Press "PWR" button down and hold it til you hear two beeps. This resets the machine! Then adjust sensitivity and discriminate. I usually go with sensitivity at 3 bars.

you need to send it back>>>> mine dose not do that!!!!

Do the hard reset first, as mentioned above. When you call, they will ask you to do that first anyway. TTC
