I purchased the Ace 250 a week ago, planted a garden, and am getting used to using the stock coil.

I ordered the Sniper coil and it will be delivered in about a week. I understand about the Sniper for trashy areas and it probably will be for shallow hunting (2 to 3 inches at most).

But I am trying to use the Ace for cache hunting. Will the bigger coil fulfill that objective? Has anyone here used the larger coil and does it increase depth over the stock coil that much? Will it pick up cache and relics better than the stock coil? Is it worth the investment?

Thanks for the input.

Ace 250 2 feet- no problem. My HH Pro PI will detect up and pick up my scoop hanging on my belt, from the ground. How many feet is that? When I finally figured what was happening I switched to plastic or carry a big shovel over my shoulder.

If you guys are actually hunting areas where cans are 2 feet deep then you are hunting the wrong areas (unless it is the beach).

If a can is two feet deep then you are hunting about 22-23" of fill dirt.

OK I understand. It is very hard to find anywhere here in South Florida that doesnt have fill. We cannot find anything from the 19th century either... nothing was here. :(
