Hey,
I have modified my ace 250, made it water-proof, tested it, doesn't leak.
I tried to minimise any changes that might void the warranty, the only thing I did was use heat shrink tape so the gland would fit tight around the cable.
I'll still need to add a gland for a head set so you can hear the detector in the water.
