Had an Ace 350 for about 18 months now, and until last month has worked perfectly. Now has started to sound off on every blade of grass it touches, which is two to three times per swing. Caused many false digs. Have not reset anything. Searching 2 notches from max. Checked connections and gone over the outside, nothing different. Must tell you the ground here is bunch grass, kinda like tundra, so can't get closer than 1 1/2 to 2" to the ground and seems it's always touching something.. Anyone know of these problems. Any help welcome!!!

Try bumping sensitivity down a couple more notches. When it calms down bump it up a notch. Sometimes when mine gets crazy i shut it off for a few seconds then back on. Moisture of soil when i leave a dry sunny area to cool shade area usually where it gets froggy. Actual moist soil i have to reduce sens more.
Last thing i do is put fresh batteries in. It is a some days thing of soil conditions for me and not an every time out.
Be sure coil has no left to right wobble where attached to shaft. Last thing if problem still happening i would test it with a different coil.
Good luck.
