Adirondacks

Going on vacation in the Adirondacks, was wondering if anybody could recommend any good places to hunt. I was told there are finds from the French and Indian War.

nsm1978- did you ever find a good location up in the Adirondacks? I take the family up to lake George pretty regularly and was wondering about locations up there a few weeks ago. There is the canal system pretty close by, and the Fort Edwards area. Lots of old homes all around the adirondacks.

Doesn't sound like the public owns it after all! Archaeologists have been helped countless times by detectorists, but they consider us scavengers or tomb raiders rather than partners. Like they always operate in the best interest of history rather than their own interests! [/FONT]

At this site, they were starting an archaeological dig.
